NGV Incentives
Light duty vehicles eligible for $3,000 in incentive funding must be converted using an emissions-certified conversion kit. Factory-built natural gas vehicles are also eligible for the incentive, although at present no factory-built NGVs are available in Canada. Vehicles must be model year 2001 or newer to qualify for the program. Click on the link to see the list of eligible vehicles.

Eligible Vehicles

A converted vehicle is capable of operating on either gasoline or compressed natural gas. The gasoline fueling system remains intact, and a natural gas fueling system is added including electronic components that work with the vehicle's own electronic system. Natual gas conversion kits come with a one year warranty (parts & labour) plus an emissions warranty equal to the balance of the original vehicle's emissions warranty. Installation of a natural gas conversion kit does not void the manufacturer's warranty.
