Natural gas vehicles are part of Canada's green
transportation solution. These lower carbon vehicles reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 25% and produce lower levels of harmful air contaminants such as oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOC).
Renewably-sourced biomethane produced from landfill gas and biomass can further reduce emissions as well as reducing reliance on fossil fuels. |
Facilities built to accommodate lighter-than-air natural gas for vehicles can be safely used for the hydrogen vehicles of tomorrow.
The Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance speaks on behalf of the industry, advocating for the greater use of natural gas in transportation for the benefit of Canada's environment and economy. |
